Nestled in the heart of Riga, at Lidlauka Iela 37, Latgales priekšpilsēta, stands the latest addition to the Kurbads Ledus Halle – an extension to the existing sports center, where ODDIN has played a pivotal role. This project showcases our unique approach to blending traditional and modern construction methods, utilizing both metal and wooden structures to create a space that is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing.

The ice rink extension, spanning approximately 2450 m², is a harmonious fusion of 20 tons of steel and around 78 tons of wood, amounting to 176.4 m³ in volume. This blend not only highlights our commitment to versatile construction methods but also underlines our ability to adapt to different materials while maintaining structural integrity and design elegance.

Our team at ODDIN was tasked with the detailed engineering of both metal and wooden structures. The challenge lay not in complexity but in precision – ensuring that every joint, every beam, and every element aligned perfectly to bring this vision to life. The project's charm lies in its construction – a thoughtful combination of wooden elements joined by metal, creating a structure that is both sturdy and visually striking.
